American Medical Risk Company (AMRC) is a licensed MGA and Life, Accident and Health insurance agency. It was founded specifically to develop Adverse Events Coverage, a revolutionary insurance program designed to compensate patients, improve patient safety, reduce medical malpractice claims and lower health care costs. AMRC commissioned leading scholars from Harvard University and University of Oklahoma to assist in developing this program and has now partnered with industry leaders, AIG and AON, to launch this new program into the marketplace.

Company History

AMRC was founded in 2004 to develop a proprietary insurance program to help solve patient safety and healthcare cost issues. The product received regulatory approval in 2012 and we have now partnered with AIG and AON to bring it to market. Crawford & Company (Broadspire) has partnered with AMRC to handle claims and Hannover Re is also a strategic partner in this venture.
